Day 3 - Concord Students Journey

Day 3 - Concord Students Journey
Acts Chapter 2

As a teenager you may be familiar with the story of the Book of Acts. In Chapter Two, we see the coming of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. This momentous event marks the birth of the church and the beginning of the spread of the gospel message to all nations. As we reflect on this chapter, there are a few questions we can ask ourselves:

  1. Am I filled with the Holy Spirit? In Acts 2:4, we see that the believers were filled with the Holy Spirit, which enabled them to speak in tongues and boldly proclaim the gospel message. As a believer, we too have the Holy Spirit living inside us. Are we allowing Him to work in and through us to share the good news of Jesus with others?

  2. Do I have a desire to learn more about God's Word? In Acts 2:42, we see that the early church devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching. They recognized the importance of learning and understanding God's Word. Do we have that same desire to learn and grow in our faith?

  3. Am I actively involved in my local church? In Acts 2:46, we see that the believers met together daily, breaking bread and praying together. The church was a vital part of their lives. Are we actively involved in our local church, serving and encouraging others in their faith?

  4. Do I have a heart for the lost? In Acts 2:41, we see that after Peter's sermon, three thousand people were added to their number. The believers were passionate about sharing the gospel message with others. Do we have a heart for the lost and a desire to share the hope we have in Jesus with those around us?

As we reflect on these questions, let us be encouraged to live out our faith with passion and boldness, just as the early church did. Let us seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to learn and grow in God's Word, to be involved in our local church, and to have a heart for the lost. May our lives be a reflection of the gospel message, pointing others to the hope and love found in Jesus Christ.
